"I own a high end condominium in Pacific Heights and have used Brian Brown at J. Wavro twice to lease it. In both cases, the people that rented the condo were great tenants. When the condo became available again, I decided to try to rent it myself as the rental market is pretty tough right now and I thought I could do it myself. Although Brian was not getting a commission from me he did bring prospective tenants to the condo and, for a nominal fee, processed the credit check and lease agreement. On the other hand, I did talk to other rental agents (Craig Berendt particularly) who would not even show the condo to clients they knew would be interested in it unless I signed an exclusive contract with them.

Brian is also very quick to respond to both emails and phone calls and has a sense of urgency when necessary

"I had a terrific experience with Brian Brown at J. Wavro Associates. He negotiated all our terms directly with the owner of our unit in a very timely fashion. He was always prompt and prepared. He even acted on behalf of the owner to make sure the unit was move-in ready: hired painters, rug cleaners, window cleaners, maid service. He followed up on everything to make sure everyone was satisfied. He was great. Next time I move, my first call is to Brian.

2 years ago, I met Brian when I went to view an apt. I didn't like it, but since Brian was neither defensive or effusive - I asked him about another place I did like. He was thoughtful and honest.

When we moved to that other apt, I asked him to be our agent for our existing place. Brian immediately took note of its unique features. It was December, but in 2 months he found us a terrific tenant. We had other applicants, but Brian gently discouraged us from accepting a less than stellar candidate. This perfect tenant had great credit, stable job, and took better care of our apt than we did!

Two years later, we needed to rent it out again. Brian remembered almost everything about the place. We put it out on a Thursday and Tuesday we had a signed contract at the rent we wanted with great tenants.

Brian Brown and J. Wavro Associates are all about the client. and I think that explains a lot of the bad reviews here.
